We acquired this rare species of chilis from our friend from Hurt Berry Farms who acquired them on a trip to Mexico. This is an extremely rare variety of pepper unique and local to the regions of Nayarit & Jalisco in Mexico. This is actually the parent plant to the more commonly known Chili de Arbol and has been cultivated for many generations and possible considered an ancient pepper variety.
